Yea, so Simon from Facebook’s legal department sent a very nice Cease & Desist email politely demanding that I take down the code (note that I never implied anywhere on this site that it was Facebook’s code, nor have I broken any laws in obtaining said code), but I figured the above lines, used for the sake of comedy, are kosher. Funny how the last name in those parenthesis matches up with one of Facebook’s (and Google’s, and Motorola’s), though I of course imply no connection.
Sorry Simon for making you log on late on a Friday to send that email.
Completely Random Pretty Code From Nowhere in Particular (Removed due to Facebook’s very quickly sent Cease & Desist)
facebook. i got the same stuff, just for photo.php
Still waiting for the message.. I expect it soon. I wonder why it’s always with photo.php??
That was profile.php, I guess people just spend more time on photo.php, and therefore have a higher chance of hitting the faulty web server.
Does Facebook continuously run Google searches for their own source code? Maybe someone can get a hold of their search history
Would you like to send me one copy? I’m very interesting with it. Thank you. My email is: ws1040@sina.com
Hey man, would you mind sending facebook’s profile.php to me?
Thanks in advance,
Lucas
Can you send me a copy too? Much appreciated.
Heh, it appears that a lot of people don’t quite get the meaning of “Cease & Desist”. Besides, most of the “leaked” code is just UI and markup, it shows nothing of the inner working of the software (i.e. most of the code can be guessed from the rendered page). For anyone interested in studying the awesomeness that is Facebook - you should be after the library files.
Hello. And Bye.
Can you send me a copy too? just curious about it. it will be appreciated.
